• Set up and break down of the sale (the Saturday before and the Saturday after)  Break down is especially needed in order to provide our consignors an easy and quick pick up.
• Check-in (help ensure tags have the correct information, items work and are neat and clean, items with pieces are secure, and distribute items to the sale area)
• Support help (keep items neat and organized through out the sale, keep hanging items in their proper size area, set up hold piles for customers, help the customer when there are questions).  Put up signs, organize items by category, size, type and/or gender
• Marketing and Advertising (handing out or posting flyers around your neighborhood, business, PTA, sport events, mom's groups or children’s events)  Flyers and handouts are available for printing on our home page or here:  Sale Flyer 
• Putting a Munchkin Junction sign in your yard.

Volunteer Guidelines

• Volunteering is a lot of fun!  This is a great way to meet other moms, have fun and get some great benefits at the same time.      
• We ask that you sign up for a minimum of 2 consecutive hours  when volunteering at the sale and to be eligible for any benefits volunteer time must be arranged with Jodi before MARCH 11th, 2010.
• In order to receive volunteer credit for yard signs or flyers you must enter the location of each sign or flyer on the volunteer signup form!
• Please do not bring children when you volunteer.
• Volunteers are eligible to shop at our Exclusive Volunteer Night.  This special event allows the volunteers only (NO CHILDREN or GUESTS!) to shop before anyone else and gives them the opportunity to find the best items at the best prices.  In order to qualify volunteers must meet the requirements noted below.
• A consignor that volunteers at least 4 hours during our breakdown on Saturday is eligible to shop at our special volunteer shopping night.
• A consignor that volunteers at least  10 hours will be eligible to shop at our special volunteer shopping night. (4 of these 10 hours must be volunteered physically at the sale).
• A consignor that volunteers at least 15 (6 or more of these hours must be volunteered physically at the sale) hours will be eligible to shop at our special  volunteer shopping night and be able to waive their consignor fee.
• A consignor that volunteers at least 20 hours (10 or more of these hours must be volunteered physically at the sale) will be eligible to shop at our special volunteer shopping night, waive the consignor fee and will get 80% back on their sale items.

• Each event , business or group that you provide flyers or handouts too, will earn you volunteer hours.  Type in the name & address of the business and/or date of the event when you sign up as a volunteer or send the information to Jodi
• Allowing a sign to promote Munchkin Junction in your yard will also earn you volunteer hours. The sign needs to be placed in your yard or on property that you have received permission.  Contact Jodi if you plan on picking up any signs at our sign pick up night.   All signs need to be turned in on Sunday when you pick up your items and proceeds.  
• Volunteers can break up their time however it works with their schedule
• We will allow dads, relatives or friends to substitute for your requested volunteer time - as long as you let us know before hand.
• Dads, relatives or friends can also volunteer to help you earn more hours - just schedule them!

Dependability Clause

 

We welcome you to be a volunteer and help us make this sale a success, but we need to be able to depend on our volunteers.  Since many of the volunteer hours will occur after the special volunteer shopping night, we need to implement a penalty for not showing up for your scheduled volunteered time. If you agree to volunteer and do not show or follow through, your percentage on your consigned items changes from 75/25 to 50/50!
