Put all clothing on
wire hangers with the hook of the hanger facing left. (hangers will not be returned to the consignor) Two-piece outfits should be placed on one
hanger with the shirt on the front and the shorts/pants safety pinned to the
back. Children clothing size 24 months
and under can be placed on children sized hangers. Please use 1” or bigger safety pins and NO STRAIGHT PINS.
-
Attach a 3x5 card
or cardstock tag with a safety pin to the right shoulder of the garment as it faces you. The tag will need your consignor number,
short description and price. (Refer to diagram below) Please do not make any corrections to the
tags once you have filled them out. If
changes need to be made, make a new tag. If you used the file emailed to you with 8 tags per page they will print out smaller than a 3x5 card, this is O.K.!
-
If you are using barcode lables instead of the preformatted tags place one barcode sticker in the top section of the tag. See diagram below.
- Mark an “ND” on the lower right hand corner of the tag indicating
you do not want your item discounted on ½ price day. Marking the ND with a red marker or pen is suggested.
- Use $1.00 increments when you are pricing your items. No cents! For example, we will not accept an item priced as $1.50
- For small items or items that have several pieces, use a Ziploc
bag and tape shut with packing tape (Scotch tape will not hold and is easy for people to open bags and remove items). Place the price tag
on the outside of the bag with packing tape or safety pin. Small items include: toys, socks, onesies,
etc.
- Fasten shoes together securely with a safety pin, string, ribbon or zip tie and
then safety pin your 3x5 card to them.
- All items
that require batteries need to be in working order with batteries
- Games and
puzzles need to be securely taped so pieces do not get lost during the sale
- Books can
be placed in zip loc bags with the tags taped to the outside of the bag. Please be careful when taping a tag to a
book – tape can tear some books! If
taping a tag to a single book, place the tape on the backside of the book.
- Carseats should be 6 years old or newer. Check the expiration date on your carseat. If it has expired, do not bring it.
- Computer
games, Videos and DVD's need to be securely taped so that the tape and the cover
do not get separated. Please place all tapes and DVDs into their orignal cases.
- Consignor
is responsible to assemble any large items that have multiple pieces (cribs,
beds, play sets, swings, etc)
Remember the more care you put into cleaning and tagging the quicker
your items will sell!!! See our Tips & Hints for more ideas and suggestions!
